Numabe/Yaguchi Ferry (Tama River Line)

Numabe and Yaguchi Ferry are quiet residential neighborhoods straddling two adjacent stations on the Tokyu Tamagawa Line. The Tama River embankment is nearby, offering a pastoral landscape, but down the side streets from the stations, a few adult businesses operate discreetly.

Unlike the bustling entertainment districts along the Oimachi or Ikegami Lines, this area has no flashy neon or touts. Most shops are small, individually run, and cater mainly to local regulars.

The adult scene centers on soaplands, with a handful clustered together. Prices are slightly lower than in central Tokyo's famous districts, with short courses being the norm. There are also a few delivery health (deliheru) services that dispatch girls to hotels or homes.

Foreign tourists rarely visit here, and you'll likely be turned away if you don't speak Japanese. Soaplands typically require Japanese conversation skills for entry, and delivery health services have similar requirements.

Access is a 5-10 minute walk from Numabe or Yaguchi Ferry Station on the Tokyu Tamagawa Line. Business hours generally run from early afternoon until late night. Weekends can get busy with local customers.

If you plan to visit, I strongly recommend calling ahead to confirm whether foreigners are accepted. If you don't speak Japanese, bring an interpreter or look for shops that explicitly cater to foreign guests.
