When you step off the Seibu Shinjuku Line at these stations, you find yourself in quiet residential neighborhoods. Arai Yakushi-mae, Numabukuro, Saginomiya, Shimo-Igusa — there are no flashy neon signs around these stations; instead, local shopping streets and public baths stand out. But at night, signs quietly light up in apartment rooms or multi-tenant buildings. This is an area where people seeking affordable adult time away from the city's hustle gather.

Geographically, it covers four station areas along the Seibu Shinjuku Line. Arai Yakushi-mae is in Nakano Ward, Numabukuro in Nakano, Saginomiya on the border of Nakano and Nerima, and Shimo-Igusa in Suginami Ward. The stations are not within walking distance of each other, but only a few minutes apart by train. Overall, shops are scattered throughout the residential areas, not concentrated in one spot.

The adult entertainment here is almost exclusively delivery health (deliheru) and hotel health (hoteheru). Deliheru sends girls to your home or hotel, while hoteheru provides service in partner hotels. The price range is low, with many shops starting around ¥10,000 for 60 minutes. There's no luxury, but it's popular with those who value cost performance. Pink salons and soaplands do not exist in this area.

The density of shops varies by station. Numabukuro has the most, with over 10 shops within a 5-minute walk from the station. Arai Yakushi-mae and Saginomiya have moderate numbers, around 5–10 each. Shimo-Igusa has the fewest, only a handful. Business hours are generally from afternoon until late night; 24-hour shops are rare.

For foreign visitors, this area is more challenging than central entertainment districts. First, Japanese language is the norm; English-speaking shops are almost nonexistent. Also, deliheru requires you to arrange a hotel or use your own home. Hoteheru uses partner hotels, but you'll often need to show ID at check-in.

Access: from Shinjuku, take the Seibu Shinjuku Line to each station, 15–25 minutes. Numabukuro is the most convenient, about 12 minutes by express or 15 minutes by local from Shinjuku. Within the area, walking or taxi is the norm. At night, the residential streets are quiet and easy to get lost, so check a map beforehand.
