Sakuragicho

Sakuragicho's nightlife has a different feel from other parts of Yokohama. Once you step away from the station bustle, the back streets are lined with neon signs of soaplands and delivery health shops, operating quietly. More local salarymen and regulars than tourists, the atmosphere is subdued.

Geographically, shops spread around JR Sakuragicho Station towards Noge and Kannai areas. Most are within a 5-minute walk from the station, and the streets turn quiet quickly as you enter the alleys. It's close to the Minato Mirai area, so you can visit as part of sightseeing.

The adult scene here is dominated by soaplands, with prices starting from around ¥10,000 for 30 minutes, relatively reasonable. Delivery health is also common, where you call a girl to your hotel. There are a few pink salons and fashion health shops, but not many. Overall, it's a mid-sized area, not flashy but practical.

For foreign visitors, soaplands are popular but may refuse entry. If you don't speak Japanese, research shops that accept foreigners in advance. Delivery health is easier to use as the girl comes directly to your hotel.

Access: JR Negishi Line's Sakuragicho Station is the nearest. One stop from Yokohama Station, about 30 minutes from Tokyo Station. Business hours vary, but peak is from 8 PM to midnight. Fridays and Saturdays are crowded, so reservations are recommended.

A note: ignore touts and scouts for safety. Also, soaplands may require ID at entry. Bring your passport.
