Yamate/Honmoku

Yamate and Honmoku are known as some of the most tranquil, upscale residential areas in Yokohama. The quiet, hilly streets are dotted with old Western-style houses and consulates, giving the area a distinct foreign atmosphere popular with tourists.

Geographically, the nearest stations are Yamate and Ishikawacho on the Keihin-Tohoku Line, within walking distance of Yokohama Chinatown and Motomachi. Bus routes are available, but pedestrian traffic drops significantly at night, making taxis the practical choice.

This area has virtually no concentration of adult venues. There are no storefront soaplands, fashion health, or pink salons in Yamate or Honmoku itself. Instead, delivery health (deliheru) and hotel health (hoteheru) operators use nearby love hotels and city hotels to provide services.

Typical pricing for deliheru/hoteheru ranges from ¥12,000 to ¥20,000 for 60 minutes. Many operators based around Yokohama Station or Kannai serve this area as part of their delivery zone, so you need to check coverage in advance.

For foreign visitors, trying to find adult venues directly in this area is impractical. If you want to use services, head to the entertainment districts around Yokohama Station West Exit or Kannai/Isezakicho, or pre-book a delivery health service to your hotel.

Keep in mind that this is a quiet residential neighborhood at night. Taxis can be hard to find during certain hours, so arrange your return transport in advance.
