Totsuka/Higashi-Totsuka

Centered around Totsuka and Higashi-Totsuka stations, this area has developed as a bedroom community in southern Yokohama. By day it's busy with shoppers and commuters, but at night the neon signs of adult shops become noticeable.

Delivery health and hotel health shops are scattered around the west and east exits of Totsuka Station and near Higashi-Totsuka Station. Many operate in conjunction with love hotels within walking distance of the stations.

The adult scene is dominated by delivery health and hotel health. Delivery health sends girls to your home or hotel, with rates starting around ¥10,000 for 60 minutes. Hotel health provides service in partner hotels, with similar pricing plus room fees. Pink salons and soaplands are virtually nonexistent.

There are about 50 to 70 shops combined around both stations. New openings and closures are frequent, so there's always fresh faces. Prices are slightly cheaper than central Yokohama, popular with budget-conscious customers.

Access is convenient via the JR Tokaido and Yokosuka lines. About 40 minutes from Tokyo, under 10 minutes from Yokohama Station. Business hours typically run from early afternoon until midnight to 2 AM.

Foreigner acceptance varies by shop. Japanese language is the norm, so advance phone or email confirmation is recommended. There are many 24-hour convenience stores and restaurants around the stations, convenient for meeting up.
