Daikokucho

At night, Daikokucho's neon lights illuminate the alleys, with salarymen in suits and tourists passing through. Step one block from the station square, and the air of the red-light district sets in.

Daikokucho Station is served by the Midosuji and Yotsubashi subway lines, one stop from Namba. The area around the station has a mix of restaurants and game centers, but adult venues are concentrated in the back alleys to the south.

The core of this area is soaplands, with about 20 shops clustered together, starting at ¥10,000 for 30 minutes. Delivery health is also common, mostly the type that dispatches to hotels. There are a few pink salons and erotic massage shops, but on a smaller scale.

Prices are generally reasonable, making it accessible for first-time foreign visitors. However, many soaplands require Japanese language skills, and English-friendly shops are limited.

Access is a short walk from Daikokucho Station on the subway. Business hours peak from evening until around midnight. Fridays and Saturdays are crowded.
