Nihonbashi

After the neon of Den Den Town fades, Nihonbashi's night is lit by a different kind of glow. Step off the main street into the alleys, and you'll find an area lined with unmarked shops and modest neon signs. This is a practical adult entertainment district frequented by local men, not a flashy tourist spot.

Geographically, Nihonbashi lies south of Namba, with adult venues concentrated in the alleys north and south of the intersection of Sakaisuji and Sennichimae-dori. The nearest station is Nihonbashi on the subway, within walking distance from Namba. The area is compact and walkable.

The core of the adult scene is soaplands and fashion health. Soaplands range from high-end to budget, with prices from ¥10,000 for 30 minutes to ¥30,000 for 2 hours. Fashion health is mostly delivery-type, with some storefronts. There are also a few pink salons offering quick, cheap services. Total shops number around 50–60, making it a mid-sized district.

For foreign visitors, Nihonbashi is not beginner-friendly. English-speaking shops are rare, and you may be refused entry. However, some soaplands accept foreigners; check online beforehand. Fashion health and pink salons are tough without Japanese.

Access is a short walk from Nihonbashi subway station. Best visited on weekdays after 8 PM. Weekends are busier, with possible wait times. Beware of touts and scouts; don't follow them. Avoid taking photos in front of shops.

Nihonbashi suits those seeking an authentic, non-touristy adult district. But prepare well for the language barrier.
