Hommachi is part of Semba in Osaka's Chuo Ward, centred on Hommachi Station where three Osaka Metro lines meet. Here is how to reach it and how the area grew.
Hommachi Station is a three-way interchange on Osaka Metro: the Midosuji Line (M18), the Yotsubashi Line (Y13) and the Chuo Line (C16) all stop here. The two north-south lines cross the east-west Chuo Line at this station.
Chuo Ward's own profile describes it as a ward with busy securities, pharmaceutical and wholesale trades. According to the tourism bureau, the Semba Shinsaibashi-suji arcade, which runs from near Hommachi Station to near Shinsaibashi Station, was originally lined with textile and sundries wholesalers and is now mainly retail shops and restaurants.
Should listings be added for Hommachi, they will show up on this page. At the moment they are kept on the Osaka City page and on the Namba/Shinsaibashi, Umeda, Uehonmachi, Nihonbashi and Nishinakajima/Shin-Osaka/Higashi-Mikuni pages, and all of them are delivery health (dispatch) services.
Osaka City, which includes Hommachi, has an ordinance on touting: on the streets it designates as prohibited zones, soliciting customers is banned in principle whatever the business, and anyone who ignores guidance, a warning or an order faces a non-penal fine of up to 50,000 yen. On top of that, the prefecture's ordinance allows no store-based adult business and no reception-office business anywhere in Osaka Prefecture.
It depends on the venue. Each venue page lists the languages it handles, and the “English OK” filter in search narrows results to venues with English support.
Payment methods vary by venue. Check the listing and confirm with the venue before booking.
