Umeda's night transforms from its office-district face. As the neon lights around the station flicker on, salarymen in suits and tourists disappear into underground malls and alleys. This is the city with Osaka's largest terminal station, but the adult entertainment district is scattered a short walk from the station.

Geographically, shops are spread around the Sonezaki-Doyama area north of JR Osaka Station, the Higashidori area to the east, and the Hankyu area to the south. In particular, the Sonezaki Ohatsutenjin-dori area is a lively mix of restaurants and adult venues.

The adult scene is highly diverse: a few soaplands, dozens of delivery health and hotel health shops, over a dozen pink salons, and several SM clubs. Price ranges: pink salons from around ¥5,000 for 30 minutes, soaplands ¥20,000–¥50,000 per hour, delivery health ¥10,000–¥30,000 for 60 minutes. Options range from high-end to budget.

For foreign tourists, pink salons and delivery health are easier to enter. However, soaplands often require Japanese language skills, and English-friendly shops are limited. For SM clubs, confirm the play content thoroughly beforehand.

Access is within walking distance from JR Osaka Station, Hankyu Umeda Station, and Subway Umeda Station. Business hours vary by shop, but many operate from evening until midnight or 2 AM. Weekends are crowded, so reservations are recommended.

A note of caution: the adult district adjoins the busy station area, so watch out for touts and scouts. Also, delivery health may require separate hotel fees. For first-timers, it's advisable to check review sites or official websites for pricing and services beforehand.
