Himeshima/Tsukamoto

Himeshima/Tsukamoto is a quiet residential area on the western edge of Osaka, along the Yodo River. Unlike major entertainment districts, the streets are sparse at night, with only the local shopping street dimly lit. Only those with a specific purpose venture here.

The area is served by JR Tsukamoto Station and Hanshin Himeshima Station. The target shops are scattered within a 10-minute walk from the stations. You'll need to rely on a map.

The adult scene here is centered on soaplands. There are fewer than ten shops, making it a small cluster. Prices are average for Osaka soaplands: short courses start from the upper 10,000 yen range, and long courses go up to around 30,000 yen. Other adult venue categories are almost nonexistent, so this is purely a soapland destination.

The shops are often converted houses with no flashy signs, sometimes indistinguishable from ordinary homes. First-timers should confirm the exact location beforehand.

Access is on foot from JR Tsukamoto Station. There is a taxi stand, but taxis are infrequent. Typical business hours are from early afternoon to late night. The best time to visit is from evening onward.

For foreign visitors, the language barrier can be high. Soaplands generally cater to Japanese customers, and English-speaking shops are limited. It's advisable to check in advance by phone or email, or go with a Japanese-speaking friend.
